Ask My Photos Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026 · 日本語版はこちら
The short version: Ask My Photos collects no data. Your photos, the text found in them and your searches never leave your iPhone.
Who we are
Ask My Photos is developed by Sameeran Sarangi (Privaku), Tokyo, Japan (“we”, “us”). This policy applies to the Ask My Photos app for iPhone, version 1.0. For Ask My Photos, this policy takes precedence over the general Privaku privacy policy.
Data we collect
None. Ask My Photos does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any data about you or your photos. Specifically:
- No analytics
- No crash reporting
- No third-party SDKs
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No account or sign-in
- The app makes no network requests
On-device processing
All photo analysis, cleanup and search run on-device on your iPhone. Your photos, the text found in your photos and your search queries never leave your iPhone. They are not sent to us or to any third party.
Photos access
Ask My Photos asks for access to your photo library so it can analyse, search and help you clean up your photos on your iPhone. iOS lets you choose full access or limited access (only the photos you select). You can review or change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Ask My Photos, or revoke access completely. If you limit or revoke access, the app can only work with the photos it is allowed to see.
Deleting photos
Ask My Photos never deletes a photo on its own. A photo is deleted only after you confirm in the iOS system dialog. Deleted photos go to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, as with any deletion on iOS, where you can recover them for the period iOS keeps them.
Children
Ask My Photos collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
A future version of Ask My Photos may add optional, opt-in crash reports and analytics (via Google Firebase). These would never include your photos or their content. We will update this policy, and its effective date, before any such version ships.
